Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC and holds a bachelor of science in Psychology. She is under the supervision of William Dunbar. Her experience as a counselor includes working with adults and adolescents with a variety of concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief, self-worth, transition, and relationship struggles. Laura’s counseling approach integrates therapies and techniques that are person-centered, mindfulness, and cognitively-behaviorally based such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, running, spending time with her family, and discovering new places to hang out and eat good food. As a counselor, Laura strives to create a collaborative, safe, and empathic space to better help individuals freely explore themselves, identify goals, and feel empowered to take charge of their lives.
