Masters level intern
Michaela Adams possesses extensive expertise and a comprehensive understanding of child development and education, derived from 22 years of dedicated work with hundreds of children, educators, and parents. Her expansive experiences with children and families, coupled with her training, have afforded her keen insight into how to bolster children and families holistically and successfully in their growth toward learning, confidence, and connectedness.
Michaela holds an undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University, with a double major in Elementary Education and Special Education. She began her career working with elementary-aged students with emotional disabilities and various learning disabilities in a self-contained setting. Her emphasis and strength included social and emotional coaching to support effective emotion management, enabling learning to be attained. Her graduate degree from Rutgers University in Learning, Cognition, and Development has further expanded Michaela’s understanding of the developing brain and mind of a growing child. She is currently working to finish her graduate degree in social work at Capella University and is ecstatic to delve deeper into supporting and empowering people of all ages.
