WINTER ALBOHAIRE

M.Ed, LCMHCA, LPC-A, NCC

Winter is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling and Development/Clinical Mental Health from Winthrop University.  Her experience as a counselor consists of working with adults, small groups, and children using play therapy. Her primary goal in treatment is to help increase your awareness and to help you reach stability.

Together, you will measure your progress as you experience a reduction in your negative symptoms and successfully employ the skills you have learned during therapy. Her theoretical approach involves using Reality and Choice Therapy, Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT) techniques to target distorted patterns of thoughts, negative feelings, and maladaptive behavior. Her goal is to empower you to take responsibility and to support you in taking ownership of your choices.

She will help guide you in resolving your ambivalences, assist you in adopting new strategies to cope with adversities, and ultimately achieve change. She places a strong emphasis on the need to develop a future-oriented personality, full of intrinsic motivation and packed with resources, skills, and abilities you can use to change your present and your future.
