Britanica Johnson is dually licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and in South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Britanica obtained a Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling and Development. She obtained her degree from Winthrop University in 2019. Britanica has been in the counseling profession for four consecutive years. She started her career facilitating group and individual therapy at Keystone Substance Abuse Services and with Harmony House. Britanica then returned back to solely individual therapy at the Center for Emotional Health in Charlotte. She utilizes different theoretical approaches to meet the needs of her clients. Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential Therapy and Motivational Interviewing are a few common approaches. Britanica specializes in treating: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relational and familial concerns, personality disorders, as well as trauma related disorders and couples counseling. Britanica has experience working with children, adolescents, families and couples, and has a niche for working with the adult population of 21 and older.
