jennifer vance
Masters level intern
Jennifer became active in this field later in life because she has an authentic, listening heart that desires to see individuals grow into the beautiful, whole people they were created to be. After earning an undergraduate degree in accounting and working in that field for 20 plus years, as well as life experiences, she realized that was not her passion.
She is a Masters in Counseling Psychology student at Southern Wesleyan University with a passion for listening and helping individuals understand mental health issues do not define us, but are something we experience.
She has a focus on Child-Centered Play therapy and Sand Tray therapy that allows children to express themselves in an environment that is safe and non-judgmental where they can learn to share their thoughts and feelings while learning mindfulness and emotional regulation skills. She has an eclectic approach to therapy, understanding you know yourself better than anyone else ever could. She provides a warm, nurturing and nonjudgmental environment which creates a safe space for clients to be heard, validated and empowered.
