MA, LPCA

Jackie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Beth. She has a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a second Master's degree in Human Services and Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University, a 2 year degree in Criminal Justice from Broward College, and a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology from Winthrop University. Along with her love for counseling and helping others, Jackie loves animals and runs her own pet sitting business. Her hope is to one day incorporate animals into her therapeutic practices.

Jackie has a range of experiences and those she focuses on are women's issues, adolescent issues, anxiety and depression, grief therapy (including humans and animals).  One of her goals is to develop a program for women in prison that will help reintegrate them back into society. She has a heart for empowering women, helping men with issues they have difficulty exploring, and bringing about unity and a shift in perspective concerning gender roles. She provides a non-judgmental, safe space for individuals who are seeking personal development and growth, and the desire to discover the very best of themselves.

Jackie's preferred theoretical approach is CBT; however, she has been trained in other approaches. With her Christian beliefs, she has been trained in the integrative approach and she likes to incorporate Christianity in sessions if desired by the individual being served.

"Our purpose is to be the best version of ourselves and to continue to evolve throughout this life's journey. Once an individual discovers their identify, meaning and purpose become evident. The individual is the expert of him/herself, I am  simply a facilitator to help clients discover the tools they need for success in their mental health journey."
