Lisa earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa. She is licensed by the state of South Carolina and Ohio as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and by the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Lisa has been working with children and families for more than 25 years in a variety of settings including office, in-home, residential, group care, shelter, and school-based. Lisa’s areas of professional expertise include individual and family therapy with children, teens and adults.
She has experience in assisting clients with a variety of presenting problems including parent/child conflict, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, behavior issues, anger management, stress management, life transitions, divorce, and grief and loss. Her emphasis in therapy is primarily provided with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Strength-Based Approach, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, and Family Systems perspectives. Lisa joins her clients where they are in life and is passionate about helping them overcome hurdles and potential roadblocks to ensure they have the ability and opportunity to live a happy and stress-free life.
